Bore Through Driver Shaft Replace
Warning!! This post is for golf nuts only! We recently had a customer bring in a broken shaft, it was to their favorite driver, which just happened to be a 'Bore Through' driver. This means the driver head has a sleeve built in for the shaft to be inserted completed through the head. This was done to dampen vibrations, but in turn it also increased the stiffness of the shaft significantly (since there was 3-4 inches less of flex). It's quite the process to repair a bore through shaft, so we threw on our safety goggles, got into the lab, and got to work! We documented to process since it's not every day we get to work on something like this, and if you love golf like we do, it's fun to learn all the minor details about the different equipment. Enjoy!
